| The world war dead of the Commonwealth are commemorated by CWGC in cemeteries and on memorials all over the world. The total number of such cemeteries and memorials currently stands at 23,554 separate sites around the world. Of these, 12,355 are in the United Kingdom. | ||||||

| Many people are only interested in the sites in a particular country or area and so IFCP has added the facility to this website to enable searching for cemeteries in any particular country. Details of the number of burials in each cemetery or the number of names inscribed upon each memorial are included for each location. | ||||||
|
||||||
| NOTE: Those sites with '(AC)' after their names are locations where CWGC has declared that the war graves are not maintainable and it now commemorates the casualties elsewhere (known as 'Alternative Commemorations'). In some instances no traces of the graves concerned may remain. | ||||||
