| The world war dead of the Commonwealth are commemorated by CWGC in cemeteries and on memorials all over the world. The total number of such cemeteries and memorials currently stands at 24,379 separate sites around the world. Of these, 12,696 are in the United Kingdom. | ||||||
|

| Some cemeteries do not contain any Commonwealth War Graves but only Non-World War '(NW)' or Foreign National '(FN)' Graves in CWGC care and these are marked appropriately. Those marked with '(BE)' are 'Battle Exploit Memorials' which CWGC maintains on behalf of other organisations. | ||||||
